Mobile patient lift is an electric remote-controlled device for lifting, landing or transferring patients to or from beds, stretchers or floor.

 

The device will make personnel's work easier, especially in situations when patients are immobile or with excess weight. The device can lift patients weighing over 200 kg. Many nurses at the Department of Palliative Care and their assistants have problems with back due to physically hard work involving regular positioning and lifting of patients. Now staff just has to push buttons to do that. Also patients feel safer and more comfortable.

 

Hospitals in foreign countries have been using mobile patient lifts for many years.

 

The Department of Palliative Care provides help to long-stay patients with severe neurologic, oncologic or other diseases from Ventspils, Ventspils Region, Talsi, Liepaja, Kuldiga, Riga, etc.
